A Song for Niamh and Cian
On the 29th of February 2008 Niamh and Cian Myers died in a road accident when they were on their way to school. They were eight and seven years old respectively. A heavy cloud of sadness covered our school for a long time after the accident.
Cian’s twin brother Eoin still attends our school and the children’s mother, Deirdre is on our staff.
In the year 2010 Barbara Devlin composed this piece of music in memory of Niamh and Cian and it was first played at our First Eucharist ceremony.
It is being included in the school website as a permanent memorial to the two beautiful children we lost that day.
